Contents. Why does this version of the multiplas rifle lack the green tubes sticking out of the sides that are present in the advanced power armor picture? 20:33, September 18, 2010 (UTC)By now, I'm thinking that one of the two pictures is either out of date, or of a different weapon that looks like the F3 plazzie. 20:35, September 18, 2010 (UTC) The E3 trailer had the multiplas rifle (or what looked exactly like it) without the tubes, so maybe it is a different weapon. I guess we'll find out in a month.

Top 10 Weapons from Fallout 3 & Fallout: New Vegas? Multiplas Rifle(FNV) - Basically a shotgun, but with plasma. Really strong energy weapon but consumes a shitload of ammunition. Top 10 Weapons from Fallout 3 & Fallout: New Vegas? Top 10 weapons from both games combined. Give a small reason why. I always need backup for an opinion.

02:35, September 21, 2010 (UTC) It could also be a weapon mod. 03:48, September 23, 2010 (UTC)Yeah, maybe. Go from vaccuum tubes to integrated semiconductors, reduce the weight of the gun.

Maybe like tricking out an old P94 to be a turbo plazzie in terms of an AP benefit, too? 03:53, September 23, 2010 (UTC) Three plasma rifle types? Looking at Dev Diary #2, I think there may be three different types of FO3-style plasma rifles: The basic plasma rifle, and then two others which are both being confused as the 'Multiplas Rifle'.

If you look at the picture of the guy wearing, there are several plasma ampules sticking out the side ports. But if you watch the second Dev Diary and also look at the 1st person view of the multiplas rifle, it's lacking those side port ampules. In the Dev diary, it even has a big convoluted muzzle with a great deal of glowey bits more than just the ampuole. You can see it in Dev Diary #2 at 0:30 and 0:38So basically, I think there's the basic Plasma Rifle (which should NOT redirect here, BTW, it's distinct), the MultiPlas Rifle, and a third kind. Either that or they're all upgrade derivatives from the basic Plasma Rifle, as their plasma chamber barrels all look closely similar.- 20:23, September 23, 2010 (UTC)There's also the possibility that one is a placeholder, and the two newer ones are the Plasma Rifle and Multiplas Rifle.

Fallout New Vegas Multiplas Rifle

20:39, September 23, 2010 (UTC)Why would they show placeholder meshes in a promo video this far along? - 22:24, September 23, 2010 (UTC)Is there a possibility that any of them might be weapon mods?-With care and happiness, 22:28, September 23, 2010 (UTC)I'd say it's likely, to be honest.

Especially since I was mistaken about one of 'em being from a while ago, which means none are likely to be placeholders. Possibly a regular Plasma rifle, the Multiplas rifle, and then a mod for one or the other. 22:30, September 23, 2010 (UTC) Separating 'Plasma Rifle (Fallout New Vegas)' and 'Multiplas Rifle' As noted in the previous discussion, there are apparently three separate two-hand stock/pistol grip plasma weapons.

The only distinctly evident one of the three is the basic FO3 Plasma Rifle. It's unknown which of the other two is actually the Multiplas Rifle, or some other plasma weapon. However, redirects to the Multiplas Rifle here.Do I have the permissions as a registered user to fix that redirect and make it into a bonafide article, or do I have to get a higher-up to fix that? If I can do it myself, how do I go about? That's not the first time I've seen the 'basic' plasma rifle, I saw it in another FONV video somewhere too, though I don't remember which or at what time index.

Fallout new vegas nexus mods

I think it warrants a separate entry, since besides this image evidence, the original 'Plasma Rifle' is now the 'Plasma Caster'.- 03:18, October 1, 2010 (UTC)Someone up there seems obsessed that the Plasma rifles we've seen are actually multiplas rifles, and that there is no confirmation that the F3 plasma rifle is in the game.:( At any rate, I've also seen in that recent japanese gameplay video a multiplas rifle with two or three 'barrels', possibly a mod? I'll see if I can't snag a pic of it.- 06:24, October 1, 2010 (UTC) Well then whoever is obsessed with it needs to take a pic of the screencap I got from Dev Diary #2.

I've posted it on this wiki and have linked to it twice on this page. 20:22, October 1, 2010 (UTC) You're preaching to the choir bro, I've been struggling to get them to add it for a while now.

I mean, compare your image to the one I uploaded that shows the multiplas rifle, and you can see they're different weapons. You should upload the plasmariflebasic.jpg to the Multiplas Rifle's gallery, and give it the description: 'This is totally not a Multiplas Rifle. It's here because someone is too stubborn to admit that the basic Plasma Rifle is in the game.'

That'll show them.- 02:34, October 2, 2010 (UTC) All we're doing is minimizing speculation until we get more info. We know there's a multiplas rifle. We don't know if there is a regular plasma rifle. We don't know if the pics show weapon mods. So, until we know, we'll keep this page and not add the others.- 02:48, October 2, 2010 (UTC)I posted an image of a regular plasma rifle, visually identical to FO3's.

Emphasized for bold. I can caps it or italicize it too, if you want. 02:56, October 2, 2010 (UTC)You know what? I can't argue with your pic. Here you go.

Cheers.- 04:33, October 2, 2010 (UTC) Glitch? I just stole the multiplas off the counter in the Silver Rush, then equipped it, Gloria slowly walked over and aid 'hey that doesn't belong to you' and motioned to take it off me then went back to the counter. The weapon was still equipped, I didn't lose it and no-one was hostile!Multiplas Rifle Shop Limits The article states that there are only six distinct multiplas rifles, and that each merchant who sells them only sells one but, for me at least, this is not the case.

I'm playing the Xbox 360 version, and I bought one from Silver Rush, waited three days for the inventory to restock, and was able to buy a second one. I just did the same again, and am now looking at my third multiplas from Silver Rush alone. This one is in better condition, so I don't have the caps to buy it, but all the same. I don't know if this is a particular glitch for me or if there were intended to be multiples, but that is what has happened.Possible bug? Xbox 360 When repairing a Multiplas rifle at around 75% condition (pretty sure it was slightly under) with a poor-condition plasma rifle (no mods), after the repair the Multiplas rifle was at 100% condition and the plasma rifle used to repair it was still in my inventory, and also at 100% condition. Reloading my save which was right before this continually repeated the event. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Fallout New Vegas Multiplas Rifle Games

Is it caused by something on my save file, or is this a repeatable scenario for others? 07:52, February 8, 2011 (UTC)I know I'm replying. 5-6 months late, but meh. That sounds odd, the barter system is bugged in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, based on the engine and the way in which trading works in the engine, so. Maybe this bug is caused in a similar way as the barter system bug is? 21:26, June 26, 2011 (UTC).

Form ID: 1046f8An armored version of the V21 suit, like the armored V101/V13 suits. +5 Guns, +3 Energy Weapons.

Considering how nonsensical it was that you got the regular V21 suit, it's no loss that this was cut. You can still see the armor being worn by the courier in some of the very last ending slides. Its script indicates that it was to be found mounted ritualistically rather than neatly folded:scn ArmoredVaultSuitMountedSCRIPTBEGIN OnActivateif IsActionRef player 1player.additem MS03VaultSuit21Armored 1 1disableendifEND. Aura Token KickerForm ID: 13b1a8This is an odd item. The GECK says it's a pair of sunglasses, but it can't be equipped or even seen if added to inventory. Despite apparently being a Legion-related item (called LegionExplorerAuraToken internally), the only place in the game it can be found is in the inventory of Crandon in North Vegas. The following developer commentary is in the item's script:This script runs on an unplayable token in Legion Explorers' inventory. I place this GameMode code in an item so as not to run the script on the Actor entity.

The token merely kicks in a timer that, when appropriate, makes the Legion Explorer's reference cast on itself (CIOS) an AOE, touch based, spell. This AOE spell is responsible for applying the 'aura' effects on nearby Legion allies.Boomer and Followers disguisesA pair of unused message files (FactionReminderBoomer, FactionReminderFollowers) shows that it was once possible to disguise oneself as a Boomer or a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse.

The Boomer disguise would have been useful for infiltrating Nellis, but not otherwise, and a Followers of the Apocalypse disguise would have been near useless. You are still dressed as a member of the Boomers. You are still dressed as a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse. Form IDs: 133f31 (Armor), 134094 (Helmet)Enclave power armor similar to the set you get for helping Arcade Gannon with his quest, except it's got tesla coils on the back.

Gannon will wear an identical looking piece of armor in the final battle if you get his help, but it's actually a completely different item. Form ID: 432bThe armor-piercing homemade claw weapon from Fallout 3 was set to return but didn't make it into the final version of the game, making Deathclaw Hands useless. There was however a unique version of the Deathclaw Gauntlet included in the Lonesome Road DLC.Debug MegaPistolForm ID: 1465a6A 9mm pistol which inflicts 9999 damage per hit. I wonder why this was cut.The DisintegratorForm ID: f82aaA laser rifle which inflicts 1000 damage per hit and always critical hits, thus always turning the target into a pile of ashes.Double Barrel ShotgunIts repair list can be found in the GECK's form lists, but there is no other evidence of its existence. It's probably safe to assume that this would have been the same as the double-barreled shotgun from Fallout 3 GOTY. Pew Pew unused scriptFrom an unused script:scn WeapPewPewScript; This script is attached to weapon WeapNVLaserPistolUnique, otherwise known as; Pew Pew.

It makes the pistol fire twice quickly for every pull of the trigger.; KNOWN ISSUE: If the player has one charge left in the pistol and fires, the gun will; fire twice and pull the ammo for the second shot from the player's reserve, before; playing the reload animation. As soon as we have a way to check ammo, I'll set this; up to not fire the second shot if there's no ammo left in the gun. This was apparently never corrected so the Pew Pew's behavior was (eventually) changed to fire five energy cells at once.Plasma RifleForm IDs: cda5c (Weak), f7eae (Always Crit)There are three items with this name in the game's files, two of them unused. The first is called HVWeapPlasmaRifleWeak internally, and just as its name suggests, it's weaker then the regular Plasma Rifle. The HV prefix in the name means it was intended for use in Hidden Valley, probably as another broken weapon like the Jammed Minigun. The other is named WeapPlasmaRifleAlwaysCrit, which functions more like a Multiplas Rifle, except like the Disintegrator, it always crits and always turns the target into a puddle of goo.

Both unused rifles look identical to the regular version.R9000 CameraForm ID: 13621dA clone of the Codac R9000. Uses small energy cells.Slave's Burden. 25mmGrenadeWPMentioned only in the empty levelled item list VendorAmmo25mmGrenadeWP. WP most likely stands for White Phosphorous. Incidentally, there is an unused message file that describes the construction of white phosphorous shells at The Fort (based on editor ID) but this is probably unrelated:You created several white phosphorous artillery shells.Pure WaterForm ID: 15fd42Unused ammo type, flagged as usable by the player. Uses the water bottle Pip Boy icon, but no world mesh.Unused Ammo EffectsWoo hoo. Both pretty self-explanatory.

Fruit MentatsForm IDs:: bf7c6 (Berry), bf7c5 (Grape), bf7c7 (Orange)These are the three special flavored mentats from Fallout 3: Berry, Orange, and Grape. There are signs they were meant to return in New Vegas at some point - all three are on the list of items banned by Caesar's Legion, as well as an unused form list NVFiendDrugList. Instead of bringing back three items which were virtually the same, they introduced Party Time Mentats which are much more helpful.Irradiated Radroach MeatForm ID: 13215bCalled just 'Radroach Meat'.

Has 8 more rads than the regular kind. Would have been dropped by an.Miss. Quantum PieForm ID: 49076This consumable item from Fallout 3 confusingly appears both on the list of the Legion's contraband as well as its list of allowed consumables, though its stats were not updated for New Vegas's hardcore mode.

Barnabas BearForm ID: 13abdcA teddy bear intended for use in Bitter Springs, to be received by the player after hearing 'I like you. Will you take Barnabas Bear to New Vegas when you go?' .Doggie TreatThough not unused, this strange and useless item (found in the abandoned shack near Yangtze Memorial and in Old World Blues' X-13 Research Facility) is coded to knock dogs out with fatigue damage. The only problem is there is no way to get the dogs to ingest it.scn SleepytimeDogTreatBaseEffectScript; Inflicts Fatigue damage on the consumer to temporarily knock it out.; Effect-level logic should only apply this effect to CreatureType 0.; Non-animals receive a different negative effect.; JESRef SleepytimeTargetBegin ScriptEffectStartSet SleepytimeTarget to GetSelfSleepyTimeTarget.damageav Fatigue 300End EggTimerForm ID: 154308Duplicate of Egg Timer (with a space).GawdyGnomeForm ID: 15e013An evil gnome identical to the unique one you find in Fire Root Cave, but with a different GECK name. It was was quite obviously intended to be craftable, but for some reason they forgot to implement the recipe.Sentry Bot ToyForm IDs: 140ca2 (Normal), 140ca1 (Broken)Uses the model for the Ash Tray internally, but if dropped by the player it creates a fully functioning (or a broken one, see unused creatures). At some point in development you would have found a tiny Sentry Bot you could pick up. If you killed it first you'd get a broken version. The item and creature are almost fully functioning, except it doesn't disappear when you pick it up, allowing you to get infinite toys. Has no Pip-Boy icon. Drug StashThree copies.
